Tompkins: Coastal fishing heats up with temperatures

The sooner water temperatures climb to 80 degrees or so in the bays and near-shore Gulf, the sooner inshore fishing finds its warm-weather groove instead of being an unpredictable mess when water temperature rises and falls with every spring cool front, and the accompanying gusty winds churn bays into something resembling a chocolate shake.
